Eyecare Plus is the private practice of Dr. Steven D. Starkman. He is a highly experienced Optometric Physician who diagnoses, manages, and treats conditions of the eye and visual disorders. Some of the treatments may include prescription medications, or lenses such as Varilux progressive lenses, bifocals, and computer lenses with blue blocking anti-reflective coatings for computer use. He also offers contact lenses for daily or extended wear and for astigmatism or even bifocal and gas permeable contacts.

We can custom make some collections so you will get exactly what you are looking for. Best of all our work gets done fast thanks to our Teaneck on-site optical laboratory.

At Eyecare Plus many conditions of the eyes are covered by your medical insurance. We accept many medical insurance plans including Aetna, United Healthcare Clover Health, Blue Shield, and Medicare. We also accept many union and vision plans including UFT, VSP, NVA, and Eyemed. Check with your medical provider if you are uncertain about who administers your eyeglass or contact lens benefits.
Dr. Starkman treats and manages both medical conditions of the eyes as well as disorders of vision. These can include eye infections, lid lumps, pink eye, double vision, keratoconnus, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. His treatments may include prescription medications, lenses, consultations, and referrals to other sub-specialists as needed.
